Question by Danielle L: Attn: Teachers ? How does the NCLB Act affect your teaching?
I am working towards my degree in secondary education and have to write a paper on the NCLB Act, which must include ?an interview with a current teacher, administrator, EA, principal, etc.? In this ?interview? I would like to know what your personal thoughts and experiences are in reference to the NCLB Act, especially the requirements that have been placed upon teachers.
I would so appreciate anyone who is currently a teacher or working in education responding to this question with your feelings, attitudes, reactions, thoughts on the NCLB Act, and how it has helped or hurt your ability to teach.
I would also appreciate hearing about the NCLB Act?s position on ?technology? in the classroom. Has the act helped or hindered the use of computers in schools?
Thank you soooooooooooooooo much!

I?m not a teacher, but I remember talking to my astronomy teacher last year about the NCLB act. He has been teaching several science classes at my old high school for 35 years. (Physics, chemistry, astronomy, and physical science.) Due to the NCLB act, he?s not allowed to teach anything but astronomy and physical science anymore despite wanting to teach physics and having taught the class successfully for years because he doesn?t meet the certification standards of the act.
