The Marketing Coordinator for the Chapman-KGI School of BioPharmacy will provide support to overall marketing efforts during development and launch of the new school. Duties include creation of collateral material (recruitment materials, informational brochures), as well as generation of web content and website site management. Marketing Coordinator will also help manage relationships with clinical partners to help secure internship opportunities as well as area schools to recruit students.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintenance of Institution website.
  • Procurement and management of outside vendors, including designers, printers and merchandise fabricators.
  • Supervision of outside vendors to create marketing material from messaging through design, production, and delivery.
  • Liaison to area science and Pre-Pharm clubs; cultivate relationships that will aid in student recruitment.
  • Market to clinical practitioners in area to cultivate internship possibilities.
  • Support of KGI's manager of media relations in servicing media outlets with stories of institutional development and faculty.
  • Management of photography resources.
  • Manage social media strategy using, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Work with a variety of campus constituents to develop effective communication materials and strategies; Foster collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, and administration.
  • Promote campus events and seminars to internal and external audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required
Experience:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in implementing marketing and communications strategies and possess excellent writing and editorial skill. Will help build relationships between the institution and key outlets at local, and regional level. Entrepreneurial energy, self-direction, and an eagerness to generate ideas are essential.

  • Minimum of three years professional experience in a communications or marketing position (preferably in higher education)
  • Direct experience in dealing with generation of printed and online marketing material.
  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Marketing, communications, or related field. Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Some photography experience is a plus.
